Mizan Therapy is a great way to support your fertility on the journey to pregnancy and birth.Mizan Therapy is a great way to support your fertility on the journey to pregnancy and birth.
Fertility depends on a series of processes working in the correct sequence and in conjunction with each other. Hormones must be released at the right time of the cycle, in the correct amounts; the uterine membrane must grow thick and healthy to nourish an ovum and the vaginal pH must allow the sperm through without being weakened by acidity.
If your womb is tilted then it is more likely that there will be a disruption to the delicate balance of hormones and the body’s organs working in unison. This communication breakdown may be the cause of anovulatory cycles; premature menopause; PCOS or fibroids. Sometimes the congestion caused by a tilted uterus can result in the blood stream becoming toxic, or too much strain on the lymphatic system to eliminate waste.
Mizan helps to realign the womb which will increase blood flow, nourishing and restoring your reproductive organs to health, improving detoxification, relieving congestion and removing emotional blockages. This will give your body the best chance to conceive and nurture a growing baby.
Since it takes 12 weeks for an egg to achieve maturity, it is best to undertake treatment for three months before trying to conceive. The strongest treatment is possible if you use contraception for these three months, but I understand that there are many reasons why you may not want to wait.
Bushra, founder of Mizan Therapy has designed two protocols: a three month pre-conception programme, and a programme for trying to conceive whilst undergoing treatment. I can signpost to an Advanced Practitioner for this.
Mizan is also beneficial for you if you are undergoing assisted conception and will improve your chance of a successful outcome.
We often hesitate to discuss loss and miscarriage; it’s challenging to grieve, and there are no established rituals to help us through this journey. In cases of termination, which can be an incredibly tough decision, feelings of shame may compound the grief. Mizan Therapy can assist in healing and rebalancing your womb, hormones, and spirit. Regardless of your circumstances, you will receive compassion and empathy from me. There is no right or wrong way to navigate this experience, nor is there a set timeframe for healing. Please reach out whenever you feel ready, and remember, you don’t have to suffer alone or in silence. Mizan Therapy combined with ReWind offers support for postnatal healing and pregnancy relief, allowing you to process your emotions in a safe space.
Mizan Therapy can help to resolve the symptoms of SPD/PGP, providing significant pregnancy relief by alleviating common discomforts such as indigestion, heartburn, nausea, low back ache, sciatica, pressure and burning sensation in the groin area, constipation, headaches, leg discomfort including varicose veins, frequent urination, incontinence, and urinary tract infections. This therapy encourages the baby and uterus into optimal positioning to facilitate a smoother pregnancy, labour, and birth, and regular treatments can even shorten the length of labour and birth, particularly for first-time mums. It tones, strengthens, and balances the uterus, preparing it for labour and birth while synchronizing the connection between mum and baby. Additionally, Mizan Therapy supports the mum and baby relationship by stimulating an increased release of oxytocin, which fosters bonding and prepares the uterus and placenta for labour and birth. It also increases circulation to both mum and baby, reduces tension and anxiety, and addresses emotional issues on a cellular level, setting healing in motion. As noted by Michael Odent in Primal Health, the baby’s immune system begins to develop in the womb, where the hormonal reactions of the mother during pregnancy play a crucial role.
Many of the issues we often overlook and accept as a normal part of pregnancy can actually be prevented. You don’t have to endure conditions like SPD/PGP, tired aching legs, varicose veins, or swollen ankles. Additionally, you shouldn’t have to suffer from sickness, headaches, or fluid retention. Mizan Therapy offers effective pregnancy relief for these concerns and many others. Regular sessions of Mizan Therapy not only provide a relaxing experience for you but also benefit your baby. By promoting circulation, it helps to relax and strengthen your abdominal muscles, preparing them for childbirth. This approach encourages your baby into the optimum position for birth, which can lead to a shorter labor and an easier delivery for both of you, enhancing your postnatal healing journey.
At Nurturing Heart and Womb, we believe Mizan Therapy is highly recommened for postnatal healing, as it assists in gently guiding the internal organs back to their optimum position and function after birth. Depending on the type of delivery, Mizan can typically be performed safely before the 6-week check-up, and even afterwards in the case of a caesarean section. Your Mizan Practitioner will provide you with guidance on this process. If the birth was through a caesarean section, Mizan Therapy not only helps reposition the uterus but also aids in breaking down scar tissue and preventing the uterus from adhering to other internal organs, making it an excellent option for pregnancy relief as well.
Achieving optimal health means taking care of your mind and body. Our mind-body wellness programs, including meditation classes, are designed to help you reduce stress, improve your mental clarity, and boost your overall well-being.
